SEVEN SEAS NAVIGATOR
Activities and Services

The 33,000-ton, all-suite, 490-guest m/s Seven Seas Navigator debuted in Western Europe in September 1999. The vessel features 245 ocean view suites (90 percent with private balconies), plus fine dining options, generous space-per-guest ratios, impeccable service, luxurious amenities, a Judith Jackson Sea Spa and three email-ready computers for guests' use. Built with worldwide itineraries in mind, in January 2002, the Seven Seas Navigator set sail on her first World Cruise: a 105-night voyage from Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale. The Navigator charts a course to some of the most legendary ports on our planet. They include destinations in Europe, Alaska, Central America, and the Panama Canal.

ACTIVITIES and SERVICES

As Old Sol descends into the darkening sea and sun-struck days turn into star-sparked evenings, guests shift their focus from discovering fascinating sights on shore to exploring a host of entertainments on board.

The choices are as varied and brilliant as the constellations in the sky. In the two-tiered Seven Seas Lounge, you could believe that you'd stepped into a sophisticated nightclub of the 1930's.

Window walls of crystal glass overlook the sea and sleekly-styled armchairs invite you to relax and enjoy a libation. Your attention is drawn to the almost full-size proscenium stage, curtained and swagged in brilliant orange and navy moiré taffeta. An expectant hush gives way to fanfares and flourishes. And a dynamic troupe of entertainers appears on stage. And then it's as if you've been transported to the Shubert of Covent Garden for a marvelous tribute to the musical genies of Broadway and Tin Pan Alley - from Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, and Noel Coward to Rogers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Lowe, Bernstein, Sondheim, and Andrew Lloyd Weber. Directed by a renowned producer, these performances evoke the excitement and magic of the Golden Era of Broadway, bringing a new level of high-spirited energy and fun to evenings at sea.

Of course, entertainment isn't limited to their Seven Seas Lounge. Several intimate bars and lounges throughout the ship offer guests a choice of nighttime amusements ranging from singing at the piano bar at Galileo's to watching the spectacular views from the Vista Lounge, a casual meeting place high above the ship connected to the Health Club and Spa.

Gustatory Discoveries for the Epicure

Creating a dining establishment is no simple task. First, it takes the imagination and creativity of an inspired chef. Add to this a serene setting elegantly designed to welcome diners with an ambiance of taste and comfort. And finally, it requires the perseverance, knowledge and tender loving care of a maitre d' and staff who are totally committed to offering only the best to their appreciative clientele.

Aboard the Seven Seas Navigator, you will find two such establishments: the Compass Rose Restaurant and the Portofino Grill. Our designers and executive chef have meticulously assembled all the essential elements for a superb dining experience. But not content to follow formulas, and being intrepid culinary explorers at heart, they've added a dash of sophisticated fund and more than a soupçon of imagination to create a new recipe for gustatory discoveries.

In the elegant Compass Rose Restaurant, tall conical sconces of warmly glowing wood circled in floating bracelets of chromed steel spring from the walls like the prows of antique ships to cast their gentle light on an exquisite room. A stylized compass embedded in the ceiling points the way to your table. Silken brocades and flowering draperies in soft pastels of apricot, peach, terra cotta, moss and mist are accented by alabaster and burled briar. Thickly napped carpet and glossy marble pattern the floors. Fresh flowers grace tables set with fine linen, crystal and silver. There's a feeling of elegant ease that befits the presentation of signature selections created by our European master chef. Naturally, we wouldn't think of hurrying you through such a rare experience, nor would we presume to choose your tablemates, so open, single seating dining is always our policy on all Regent Seven Seas Cruises vessels.

The Seven Seas Navigator sails under the flag of Italy, a country noted for its warmth, its artistic style and distinctive cuisine's So it is appropriate that their alternative restaurant is named after one of the most enchanted villages of Italy's Ligurian coast. In the Portofino Grill, you will find the freshest of ingredients combined in delicately accented selections which change each night. Their Italian chef has created uniquely appealing menus that range from the subtle flavors of Parma, Tuscany and Piedmont to the succulent seafoods of Genoa and the olive oil and garlic-scented pastas of Napoli.

Every evening, in both the Compass Rose Restaurant and the Portofino Grill, a selection of complimentary wines of the world are poured at your table. For those with a taste for rare vintages, the experienced, professional sommelier is available for consultation should you wish to purchase premium wines from the cellar.

With so many delicious choices so close at hand, it's no wonder that guests frequent the restaurants with happy gusto, even while the ship is in port. However, if you wish to savor the pleasures of the table privately 'en suite,' 24-hour room service is available with featured entrees from the chef offered during regular dining hours and a select menu at other times.

Sensual Refinements

If the world weren't so much with us, there would be no need to cocoon. We look for relief in places where like-minded friends can share the conviviality of quiet conversations, a glass of port or brandy and the glowing embers of a slow-burning Macanudo.

Welcome to the Connoisseur Club. An enclave of civility removed from earthly cares. Settle down deep in a comfortable English club chair, order your wine or martini and pick a hand-rolled cigar from the climate-controlled humidor. You'll find that friends congregate here at cocktail time, after dinner or late at night, because it's one of the most popular places on our ship. Antique Persian rugs in intricate Berber patterns, leather chairs in tones of chocolate and umber, warm mahogany and cherry wood paneling, the sparkle of glass and polished brass at the bar, the gentle tones of a harp in the background - it's all very conducive to unwinding.

Awakening from your reverie, you again hear the harp's heavenly glissando, and looking around a curved wall, discover not an angel, as you had almost come to expect, but a very real harpist, gliding through a few familiar tunes. The Navigator Lounge is a friendly gathering place centrally located amidships. You might return here after shopping or a shore excursion to sit and talk about the exciting events of the day. Perhaps show a few photos or souvenirs to friends - and where did you discover the delicate amber jewelry or pick up that exquisite wooden icon?

Shall we speak of shopping? Conveniently located just off the Atrium, you will find a wonderful little shop, a jewelbox of a boutique bearing the logos of famous designers. Here you will be tempted to browse for handsomely-crafted gifts of signature jewelry, scarves, silver and china for yourself and favored friends.

In the cozy Library, a wide-ranging selection of books and videos await your perusal. And just like and up-to-date library at home, you'll find three computer stations where you may retrieve your e-mail and enjoy electronic access to the world.

Windows to Discovery

One morning aboard the Navigator you'll probably decide to visit the Health Club and Spa. And not just because you might want to have a massage or work out! Step into one of the glass-walled elevators and ride topside to the uppermost deck of the ship to the Vista Lounge. If you were a navigator on a ship of old, you'd want to shoot your azimuth sightings from this room, because the views are as wide as the horizon during the day and as breathtaking as the heavens on a star-filled night. It's like being aloft in a crow's nest - in fact, the mast of the ship forms the backbone of the Vista Lounge, a dramatic architectural element that suggests the Navigator's adventurous sea-going spirit.

Pull up one of the thickly-cushioned tambour chairs beside the sweeping windows, help yourself to a long tall drink from the self-service juice bar and watch as the little dot on the horizon turns into your next port of call. Those interested in more serious navigation can track the ship's position on radar and other electronic displays located at the foot of the mast - or, you may take a tour of the Bridge command station for a chat with the Captain or deck officer and discover in fascinating detail how the nerve center of a modern ship is operated.

Now, back to your workout. In the Health Club, guests may crunch, lift, row, tread, pedal or run to their hearts' content. A personal trainer is on hand to assist you with a fitness regimen to fit your needs, whether you're a novice or a veteran. Follow your workout with aerobics, a power-walk around the track, or maybe a few laps in the pool and you'll be exercised and eager to partake of the offerings of the Navigator Spa. In luxurious hushed surroundings, trained European technicians will gently soothe cares and wrinkles away with aromatherapy, seaweed and mud wraps, massages, herbal and thalasso therapies. Steam rooms and sauna facilities, a juice bar and a full compliment of state-of-the-art salon, beauty and grooming services complete the extensive menu of the Spa.

And speaking of menus, when it's time for the health-conscious guests to re-stoke the furnace, both the indoor-outdoor grill and the dining room offer special low calorie, heart healthy selections.
